National Signing Day for St. Rita Football

National Signing Day for St. Rita Football

For Immediate Release:

CHICAGO - National Signing Day at St. Rita High School has been a rite of passage for hundreds of young men over St. Rita Football's long and storied history. On an otherwise-typical February 5, the St. Rita Football program saw five members of the class of 2020 sign national letters of intent to continue playing football at the collegiate level. Four years of hard work and dedication has paid off well for these five young men as they celebrated the results of their efforts.

These five players are: Nick Adent (University of Chicago), Zenin Hall (William Penn University), Tommy Hixson (Loras College), Michael Milton (Eastern Illinois University), Trevor Tovey (Loras College).

St. Rita parents, family members and students were joined by President Jim Quaid, Ph.D., Athletic Director Roshawn Russell '08 and Head Football Coach Todd Kuska '90 in the football office before school on Wednesday. After some coffee and donuts, Mr. Kuska thanked everyone for gathering to highlight the accomplishments of his players. He also congratulated the players and recognized their commitment to the St. Rita Football program. Mr. Russell added remarks and emphasized that St. Rita will always remain a "home" for the Ritamen.

Dr. Quaid said, "Today is a great day for St. Rita. These young men are well-prepared for college--in mind, body and spirit, thanks to the exemplary Augustinian Catholic educational foundation and athletic training provided by St. Rita High School. Our partnership with these student athletes and their families paved the path for them to continue their academic careers at some outstanding colleges and universities. We look forward to their continued success in and out of the classroom."
