The St. Rita Mustangs and Captain Trevor Tovey Are Fired Up For Football

In Week 2 of last season, St. Rita offensive lineman Trevor Tovey suffered a knee injury.

It was serious.

Tovey suffered a 50% tear of the ACL in his left knee.

He had two options: undergo surgery in hopes of being 100% ready for the 2019 season. Or rest a few weeks with a chance to return to action.

Tovey chose the latter scenario.

It was an easy decision for the ultimate team player. The Mustangs were struggling and Tovey wanted to be in the trenches with his teammates.

"I felt I owed it to my to the senior class to toughen up and get through it," Tovey said. "I was warned, however, that there was a chance I could tear it completely when I came back."
